Thunderbirds Mansion
Miniature pyro.
I was lucky enough to work on a project creating three new Thunderbirds episodes.
One model I made was a mansion that had to explode. I made it entirely out of balsa pre-cut into many tiny pieces.
The model in an environment. We only see it from the front so the back was left open for access to fill with explosives and debris.
The charges being set in.
All the charges set and wired. I now go in and fill with debris.
The aftermath. For safety, the model is checked for any unexploded charges.
The video. This was a several weeks build and gone in a flash. People get very concerned that something I spend a lot of time on is destroyed. No, this was built for this very reason and it is great and very satisfying when it all works properly.
